Here is my first attempt at blogging :)
It has been a very exciting year for Zhenya and I. I began my student teaching in January, in a 5th grade class. I had a wonderful time, and I learned a LOT! I finished my student teaching in April and received my elementary teaching certificate from Eastern Michigan University.
I searched for jobs in Michigan all summer. I was able to go to 3 interviews, but was not able to get a job. I continued searching when school started, and worked as a substitute teacher.
I continued my job search, but eventually I began to look for jobs out of state. I found a position as a first grade teacher near Farmington, NM.
Zhenya and I will be moving after Christmas. We are excited about the new experiences we will have in New Mexico and meeting lots of new people. We are not so excited about the car ride. At least gas prices have dropped for our trip (yeah!).
